Hello,

can you please tell us what you have already done to solve your problem? Have you tried different ports, did you do a clean (!) reinstallation inclusive registry cleaning? Does the software itself work, does it start? Please tell us a bit more, thanks in advance.

Greetings,

Steve

Thank you for trying helping us Steve :D

My goal is to get the U-Mix controll to work on my desktop which has windows 7 as its OS. I have tried reinstalling the software and all the different usb ports but it still wont work.

I have the same problem with me usb headset. But my MIDI keybord and my digidesign M-box 2 works just fine.

The funny thing is that the U-Mix Control works fine on my laptop which have windows xp. But my laptop broke last week so i had to install a new OS. So now i got ubuntu on it instead, and i cant get the U-Mix Control to talk with ubuntu.

If you are using Ubuntu the I can recommend jack (sudo apt-get install jack) for using it with external audio interfaces. I have not tried it because my ubuntu laptop is just for surfing, but a friend of mine is using the esi u46 DJ with jack on debian (which is quite the same as ubuntu ;)) and it works pretty good. I am also not that deep into jack to give you a detailed setup and configuration info but I hope and guess that there are a lot of good sources in the internet.

I hope I could help you guys out a bit ;)

Thansk for the tip. I tried even thou it sounded a little wierd. It didnt work. But shouldn't it more be something usb that needed to be installed since the U-Mix Control is pluged in as usb and not jack?

Don't get me wrong: jack is no input, like the headphone jack connector, jack is a service/a program for ubuntu which configures your audio interface ;) This is why I wrote down the exact installation term for your console: sudo apt-get install jack

This is unfortunately the point where you have to read in the internet. As I have said I have not used jack before, but there are proper documentations online of how to use and configure it.
