Missing iTunes songs in mixvibes program

hi,
I recently got an ion discover DJ and I absoultely LOVE the product and software, but im having a bit of a technical problem. Mixvibes only shows 1480 songs out of my entire 2200 song library. I have tried to explore my PC to find the missing files, but my iTunes has all of them already in the library. I have found a correlation though, all the songs which are in my mixvibes library are all either in the MP3 format or they were downloaded iTunes songs after my computer had crashed. if there is some way you could halp me out with finding out how to get mixvibes to recognize where my missing songs are I'd be greatly appreciative.

What kind of files are these ?

It is no music format so you won't be able to "play" it.

We can read some m4a but not all mp4.

is there any way you know of to change the file from an MP4 to a readable file?
