I have the dvs7ultimate and the U-Mix44. When trying to record I find two rec buttons in the programme. Why would I need two? Second: when pressing record I can record whats playing but when I use the crossfader on my mixingboard, (not the one in mixvibes, but my physical mixer) like when scratching, it records the sound like I doesnt use the crossfader. You know, it sounds like a scratch without the cutting. Everything else works fine so my setup should be fine. Do I really need a second PC to record?? In so case what program do you recomend for recording?
My mixer is an American audio dx1400dst

You would need 2 because it depend on the audio routing you have done. The main can be the pair 1&2 or the pair 3&4 and if you have a soundcard with more outputs, it can be anything. Second: when pressing record I can record whats playing but when I use the crossfader on my mixingboard, (not the one in mixvibes, but my physical mixer) like when scratching, it records the sound like I doesnt use the crossfader. It is because you CAN'T record something outside the box, recording the crossfader cut only work in internal mode (MIDI/keyboard/mouse driven xfader). Everything else works fine so my setup should be fine. Do I really need a second PC to record?? In so case what program do you recomend for recording?
An other PC would be ok too, but the only thing you need is a line input and a software that can record anything from this inputs. Be it on the same computer or another.
