Problem when scratching

Postby ChrioN on 23 Nov 2010, 17:09

If I turn the crossfader on my mixer "on and off", like when I scratch, I get a very wierd "pitch effect".
The effect happens when the fader goes from control signal out to no control signal out. And vice versa I think.
This also happens when the vinyl goes from stopped to spinning, the music speeds up for a brief period, and then settles at the original tempo.

So in conclusion, this speed/pitch up only happens when the control signal appears, from muted to not muted.

I get a 100% signal in Cross. Whats the problem? Scratching is about the only thing I got this for, and at the moment this is useless.

I'm on a macbook and am using the built-in soundcard.

The internal soudncard can't reach low latency so it can't fit for scratching, sorry.
