hey...

I suppose you're using your "3500s" not as a soundcard. The built-in FX are AUDIO and can't be used with timecode as they will only change the timecode and not the sound. The timecode is ONLY to control location/speed fo the players. The FX shall be in the programm to use them and are controlled by some hardware via MIDI or HID. The next update of Cross (near future) will have sexy-sounding FX implemented, I tell you.

I don't know about the gear you mentioned, so I can't help you with your cueing, sorry. But If you think about using CUE-points, you will have quite a problem. You are using the same Timecode-stuff for all your songs and your controlling player does not know which track your PC is playing. So it can't store CUE-points for dedicated songs on the timecode. You have to store them (if you want) for any song in the programm and use some assigned buttons on the controller to get them working. You might change mappings in Cross to your needs. That's no problem at all.

Hope it helps...

Greetings

use Relative mode or all Relative ...not Absolute mode
only in the two REL mode's will you be able to use the hot starts & loops from your 3500

For the CUE set up... put the time code C.D in your 3500 & push the play/pause button on your 3500 (it will not do anything...but it will start the time code C.D spinning in the 3500 )...now click the play button on the mixvibes skin or hit the keyboard short-cut [ f10 lift deck or f12 right deck ] the track in mixvibes will start

now use the vinyl plater on your 3500 to rewind back to the start off the track in mixvibes ...hit the play/pause button again and then hit the cue button ..now your cue point is memorised.[you will only have to do this one time on set-up ].now your good to go

for your hot start....you can use them BUT..you will need to clear the hot starts you have memorised when you load a new track in the mixvibes deck
