Cross not recognizing input signal

Audio technica at-lp120 direct drive turntables
Numark m3 mixer

Often times I have to restart Cross about 10-15 times before it recognizes that the vinyl is spinning/recognize that there is an input signal. If I go into preferences it tells me there's no input signal. But then once in a while I will boot up Cross with the records spinning already and it'll recognize them right away.

Very frustrating as it happens very often.

Any idea what's going on here?

Try turning up/amplifying the signal, on the 'vinyl calibration' menu. I have mine up around 30dB, to get a solid signal
