Hi folks,

If you have your ear to the ground, you will have read about the new feature on Mixed in Key (MiK), automatic cue point generation!

It sounds like a big help, especially if it is anywhere near accurate, and would make prepping a large collection (backlog anybody?) a lot easier.

However ... :-( ... it makes those cue points only for Serato and Traktor.

Major bummer and, imho, a missed opportunity if you don't get in touch with Yakov to see if the same feature can't be extended to include Mixvibes Cross.

And perhaps see if you can do something with the MiK energy rating as well while you are at it :-)

Or to have an inbuilt Mixvibes feature, extra layer of analysis for automatic cue points. While it doesn't sound too complicated it would require additional coding and especially thorough testing. I guess this technique would work best for house/techno type of music, probably not so well with other genres. :?:
