is it possible to considate all dispaly items into 1 box so all the users do not have to go to different portions of the program?

Could you be a bit more specific as to what you would like.

I e.g. use Cross at screens varying from 1024* 700 (below spec) till 1650*1080. Also in this latter size I turn objects on/off so I can have space for what I want to see at that moment.

However there is good reason to split this. The View options are all 'on the fly' changes. By clicking you don't really change anything but layout. And you may change several times per session without changing the behaviour of Cross.
The preferences hold settings that are not likely subject of 'on the fly' change. You set them up once; some once per setup, and not likely change them during a session.

The idea is to reduce unexpected results/side-effects/mistakes while performing.
