Visualization when physical pitch matches software pitch

Hi.

I'm using Cross with my Pioneer CDJ 350's. And I've noticed if I have a track that is say pitched down by using sync with another track. If I want to pitch that track up, I first have to match the software pitch position with the physical pitch slider on my cdj, before I can start moving it up.

That all makes sense, but at the point I get the two pitches aligned, it would be nice if the slider knob on-screen flashed or something so I can see I've reached the right position. As I don't want to overshoot and start slowing down the track before I can start pitching it up.

thanks,

Might be worth doing for any moving control...

This is called Software Take-over.
Did you already noticed the 'ghost' slider thumb that moves on screen while you are too far from current value?

 yes ,,i think that hes asking for a visual indication for when the pitch slider reaches the moved value so you dont have to go past it  ie ,,the led for 0 pitch lights up red when there ,,have that led light up blue when it reaches the adjusted value and is at the take over point ,, find myself also jokeying around the slider to get control of it in this situtation ,,
oh yeah +100 from me

Yes Daniel, that's what I understood too.
Just wanted to have feedback on the existing solution ;)
But I'm convinced too a some flashing light when it reaches the position would be a good thing.

 and what are your thoughts about rojec input about the other controls that are affected by take over ,, not a 100% shure what others and the importance of modifying them to give a visual feed back also ,, think the pitch slider is/should have more consideration ,,

I agree it should be done for any control affected by soft-take-over.

 just want to add and maybe modify the thought process ,, a visual indication when the slider if off software setting and go to natural state when achieves the take over state ,,ie blinking when off software settings ,un blinking when arrives at software state ,,

as far as the other controls ,,dont see the criticalness/importantence .because of the effect acchived by hunting for the software state ,,

My concern is mostly that it would create an exception in behavior for 1 (2) fader(s).
More general solution avoids 'sharing thoughts' on how many priority levels there are and why which fader has to be at which priority level
