Always ON Playlist

Postby deanobirko on 17 Oct 2013, 13:47

Can we have the Always On playlist feature we had on Cross 1.5?

Where you can snap iTunes/Collection/Info/Playlist/Sidelist in a sort of grid at the bottom.

I used to LOVE having my collection open then having a side list that I could drop tracks into in the mix.

If im using it for work and get requests, i used to like being able to fit the request into the side list and put it where I liked. The new playlist feature is a bit cumbersome and its more fiddly to do this than just dragging into a side list.

An option to save current side list as a playlist would be great.

Its been done before, you can do it again!

Many thanks

My work around to that is to map a hotkey to both "add to autoplay" and the select autoplay tab in the tree selection. When I come across a request, I hit TAB, and it adds the track to autoplay. Then, when I need the request list, I just hit "5" and it jumps to the list of autoplay songs. Could also be done with prepare list also.

Thanks for the suggestion, but if im mixing without a keyboard, i would like to be able to drag and drop into a side list which remains on screen at all times. I can simply browse my collection and drop tracks into the side list. Its how it used to be done on Cross 1.5 and how its done on Virtual DJ.

I would really like to have this feature back if its possible.

I don't think it's needed to go backward.
