Is there any thought from the developers to put a global search feature into the software?

It would certainly be helpful.

Thanks!

djmagicmoments refers to a global search within the collection...

When you're in one subset (playlist or so) you also would get results from main collection/other playlists.

As likely it requires a different interface it is quite a step to implement.
What just has been implemented is the option for exact search using a search string in between "". minimum 2 word(parts) needed.

Thanks Ron.

Does the exact string search all tracks or only within the playlist?

Ah, okay...

Definitely hoping for global search. This may be the only software, besides dJay, to only search within the playlist.

Okay, I will keep checking back.

I wish global search worked in folder view. Folders view is too clunky and collection view is a massive mess if songs arent tagged properly.

+1 for global search !

But I understand it's not easy to implement when you're in a filtered playlist.
For now I just click on Tracks and do a search.
