Hey guys (and Dev team)!

We are encoutering a lot of people on the forum asking help without serials.

This problem can be solved, by implementing registration guidience into the installation process...

I'm thinking about a button to press, which first opens up browser with the forums sign-in page, secondly, you diasllow the installer to continue untill that button is pushed. With this, we might get the user's attention, that the only help, they can get, is here!

Sad but true. But it might help them.
Because after the installation they have to provide that f***n' key, so, they might not be lazy to register.

And in case of CD sleeves they should also download the updated version.

With that in mind, I think, it would be wise to turn of the automatic updates, which means, that users should only download the updates from here, the sowtware will only notify the user, to come to the forum and register the software.

And I know, that the registry file stores the licence key somehow.
SO: An option in the software would be usefull, to show the licence key to the user, since that software is already purchased, so the key can be also stored there - it is the user's concern from then, what happens to that key, and the chance to get in the wrong hands are as big as it would be stolen from the CD sleeve, etc.

  agree with all points ,,implemtation will be the deciding factor :!: got my software in 2004 didnt even get on the fourm till 2008,,due to non use of it and seeing a adv on home page for newer version,,,knew the importance of keys and barcodes so kept mine in a secure place,as with all software purched /onstalled ,still have it,,..this will be good for a majority and will cut down on the frustrating inquires for lost keys,,but you cant solve it 100 %,,a good step was to limit accessability to fourm pages with out regerstering  just my thoughts,,

No, some users loose for real their serials. All demands aren't fakes, 50% I don't think so.
