On the whole track waveform that you can scrub through, there is a white line indicating your current position in the song. It would be super helpful if you had other markers that traveled concurrently with the white marker to indicate other timing positions in the song.
So you have the white marker at the current position in the song, but then 4 bars from that you have another marker of a different color, and 12 bars from that you have a different color. That way you can tell at a glance that a major song change is occurring in 4 bars, or 16 bars, and you can adjust your mix on the other deck accordingly. This would also be helpful for beat jumping, because you could visually see the amount that you would need to jump based on the waveform timings.
I have been marking my 1st hot cue as " Start - 16" or "Start -32" to indicate how long the intro is. If you added other markers to the system, you could visually tell on both decks how far out you need to start a track to make the phases line up.
Or, the same situation could be addressed by making the beatmatcher section zoom out a lot farther and include the hot cues on the display, so you could match them up that way.

++ to a great idea. In addition, djphaidon wrote:Or, the same situation could be addressed by making the beatmatcher section zoom out a lot farther and include the hot cues on the display, so you could match them up that way.
the beatmatcher section in CrossDJ for iPad already contain the cue flags scrolling along. If it was done in CrossDj for iPad then it is possible in Cross and CrossDJ.

I just noticed that the flags in CrossDJ for iPad pulse to the beat as they pass. Would be frosting on the cake, but pretty cool feature. Also, to the Cross techs... Did you know that the same bouncing wave peaks are in the beatmatcher section of the CrossDJ for iPad as well as the computer based Cross versions? I was taking a look at the flags that FigDJ mentions, and low and behold, the same issue that is mentioned in my RC post about 2.3.0 and in http://forum.mixvibes.com/viewtopic.php?f=358&t=25447The bouncing is just really hard to see because the waveforms are so small, at least on an iPad mini that is.
