But, If you go to a club, they lough you out some times, if you just go in with a Laptop and a controller.

They usually have CD players, so just connect then to input put in the timecode CD and off u go :D

Wrong club and wrong people in there! It is music that is counting, not how you make it! I know a lot of different people with even more opinions! At my last gig the resident asked me if playing with the U-Mix Control Pro satisfies me, after I replied that it does he said that it is comparable to s*x with three condoms. He is a vinyl only player! Other people used timecodes and say that vinyl is dead while different others say that MIDI controllers are the future. Asking me it does not matter with what you are playing, the output is counting!

For many clubs, the way of production is counting too, so seeing the DJ worikng with CD pklayers is more interesting than guys with laptops - They say...

Being honest I can tell you that if you like to play in clubs you have to kiss a lot of asses. If this is the right way, everybody has to choose for himself. Speaking for myself I do not bend myself for being able to play in a club. If I am booked or invited, I play there, if not, everything is fine too.

Here comes the "old man" part: When I was at your age I have tried hard to get into clubs. I wanted to play every weekend and was willing to do what people want me to do. After some years without "success" (playing nowhere) I realized that this is the wrong way and my best friend and I started our own parties with all risks. Now I do not define myself through gigs but through the music and sets I am creating, even if they are made in my bedroom - I do not care! It is a nice side effect if I can play in a club, but that's it. Music comes from the heart, not out of the bookers mouth!

These words should not stop you to play what and where you want, eveny with what you want! Just go your own way - that is the main message of this post!!!
