Installer ask to uninstall previous version

Dear Dev Team!

It can be a good feature to make the installers detect the previous version software, and ask to uninstall it, and make the user able to check what would he want to keep (I mean settings, mappings, waweform files ect.)
Also it would be good if the installer updates the shortcuts too.

This would make things easyer, and people don't have to spend times uninstalling older versions of the software.

Manual uninstall is safe and quick if you like the new version

My opinion on this was already posted somewhee, but nevertheless here you are:

I am running a lot of Cross versions on my computer. This is because I am afraid of a version that does not work good, so I can switch back to a former version that is/was running flawlessly. So I would not love to get this "uninstall former versions" option - sorry!

hate to be a nay sayer ,but my thoughts exactly mirror blackbrooks

just recently had added the aspect of the software reconizing that its not the current ver and ask if you want to update

Read this part, and check the higlighted word: ask

Which means, that user can choose if he wants to or not to unisntsall previous versions.

But I agree with you all.

We don't have the time to work on a new installer while we prepare a lot of new features for Cross 2.0
This is an another reality.
