- Linux market share (old chart but comparable) is too low so that the mixvibes boss may profit from developing and selling this product

I think if we could look at a chart which examined the % of users using that OS with a DJ Software we would find much more realistic state of play.

Think about how many PC's there are which use XP in office environments, desk tops etc.

I know a lot of people who use DJ software on Macs, Macs only taking up 5% of 'the market'. Are mac users more likely to be interested in digital mixing than Windows users? I think so because a typical windows user is in an office or school. If there is a big enough percentage of Linux users which also want to digitally mix then that 1% turns into a really big market for Mr Mixvibes.

With greater choice, people with an increasing distaste for Apple as they get too big and aggressive with their marketing prefer not to use windows, we could find a new generation of people which genuinely want software houses to start producing software outside of OS cartels, or do they already??????

Thanks again, we can keep this going!!!!!

Awesome, these forums are the beds for improvement. Lets stop cartels like Microsoft, Apple and Facebook from making the world increasingly dull and boring.

Lets keep going for innovation! Brain usage! Imagination!

March Forward V!

Dear Mixvibes,

there are already some +1s in here. Have a look at all active users (those who write and provide service and support), then have a look at all +1s made in here and calculate. Is it enough? ;) Hope so :P

Cheers,

Steve

Meanwhile there could be a streamlined Win 7, with ALL unnecessary services and ish removed. We can't share it here, but could we share the settings(?), what to remove, then anyone can do it themselves without this site giving out illegal Win copies. I would do it, but I dont know exactly how far I should go removing things, and it would be trial and error, making the versions and testing them, quite time consuming. Maybe someone more knowledgeable could do it?

But Mixvibes, I would gladly pay for Linux Cross, if that is permitted, i dont know about the licencing and stuff, would it be legal to charge?
