is it really that hard port Cross to Linux?

i work on some crossplaform projects in the last years.
for my point of view linux is mutch easier to handle then the other 2 major plaforms.

i dont know mutch about the Cross internals but the only thing i can see some trouble is the video plugin.

Ubuntu Studio + Cross DJ ftw!

Cross doesn't really have plugins that I'm aware of (VSTs for instance) so I'm not worried about compatibility.

I _am_ worried about lowest latency and high reliability.

And (in very small print) ... possibly the idea of playing with output stream. Lol.

Ubuntu studio only have dedicated application or does the kernel and base installation really tweaked ?

almost had Cross DJ run on linux mint 15 :eek: but no go
i stream my mixes and Gameplay at http://www.hitbox.tv/MediaHeadzTv
at Hitbox.tv you get no copy right strikes and im working on making a DJ community there

i love Ubuntu Studio to
there should be no prob from i have been seeing my PC runs better on both linux mint and Ubuntu

Just a reference that I believe is really connected to this.
Gabe Newell(Valve's CEO) gave a speech on why Valve and Steam turned on LInux, he also revealed his feeleings about MIcrosoft's plans for Windows.
