better late than never. +1 from me too. it would be a dream if i could use Cross with linux

seems a a true point is really complicate to put a simple audio card running in the ubuntu...

i have been running Ubuntu 12.04 and i added a mac theme to it .i love it it feels quick mind u im test this on a 10 year old PC before i test it on my main PC. i run most windows apps on wine i have to find a way to lunch my apps like i did with mac vs windows xp its much better but it feels basic some how. and i dont mind that i can see my self djing on Ubuntu or linux

That's a fact! I can run Cross 1.5.5 with my Hexacore @ 3GHz and 8GB RAM almost (!) fluently, every version above has drop outs.
