Another way to use instant doubles was to for when you only have one turntable. You'd load a track on the deck controlled by vinyl, load it into the second deck using instant doubles, fade to that track, and then load another track on the first deck so you could mix it in with vinyl control again.

As for the being creative, I recommend you try some things and push yourself - even if it fails miserably. ;) For example, I've been adding a lot of effects in my practice sessions as well as vinyl manipulation. As I become better with each effect or technique I'll start to add then into my normal sets when I play out.

There is also a 'Reload As Clone' command.

Refering to the Reload as Clone command.
Hope its alright if i post my problem here

Situation:
Deck A is playing a track.
Crossfader in middleposition. Linefader Deck B is at 0%
If i "Reload as Clone" to Deck B now,
Linefader Deck B rises up to 100%, and i get an annoying rise of volume through the phasing of both tracks.

Is this supposed to be that way? Kind of annoying to always take care of the crossfader

As far as I know, it is a safety thing, it supposed to work a quick "help" if the control vinly or CD stops, the DJ can press a button to clone the track and the music continues, so they autoted the volume fader.

I'll look into it.

EDIT: I tested it, and it works the same on my side... strange...

Can someone from Dev team explain why is it like that?

We could manage only decks and not the mixer in this case.

How would you change the crossfader curve so that it does not phase and increase its volume?
Think its not possible. Just tried that

Ahh, now i know what i did wrong!
Had the crossfader-curve-knob on the backside of UMCP2 in middleposition.
With both: the knob and the software being on Constant Volume its working

BUT

If i have to check the crossfader-curve-knob every time i want to clone a track, i could aswell check the crossfader being in middle position
