My mediabase was not built in 1.3. It was initially created at version 1.2. I will attempt a reset. Hopefully that will smooth out the mediabase processing time.
I cannot scan anything more than 60-70 files at a time without Vfx crashing. I originally thought it was a problem with my External USB 3.0 drive disconnecting, so I moved my media files to my secondary internal drive, and guess what - it still crashed. In fact, it seemed like it got worse.
But that could be my frustration setting in. It took me the better part of the day to scan my mediabase, and I haven't even imported half of it yet! There is more to go!
I don't DARE scan any files during a performance, it's like a guarunteed disaster.
There is no specific file type that causes the crash. They are random, an upon re starting Vfx it will scan from where it left off, continue for an additional 70 or so songs, then crash again.
Well, it happens... if there was some sort of debugging built in, or crash reports were created we could send them to you to help. My mediabase is MUCH larger, (20,000 audio files and 300 video files) and trust me, it's happening. Short of sending you my laptop & setup, I don't know how to help you resolve this issue.
