Updated Manual or Suplement to the manual

Postby FigDJ on 25 Apr 2013, 15:29

As we all know with the new Cross/CrossDJ version 2.4 support for 4 decks and and Master/Slave functionality has been added.
There are also other things that have been included in previous updates that were not included in the original 2.0 manual.

My suggestions is to release an updated manual or a short suplement to the current manual to describe the changes from 2.0 to 2.4.

Some things to include would be
1. New auto loops lenghts
2. New halve and double loop commands
3. Slip mode
4. Master/slave sync modes with details on the new sync section display.
5. Additional functionality available when using the Video Plug-in
6. A short description of the mappings in the UMCP-2 as they relate to the new capabilities.

IMHO an updated manual or a suplement manual would be a very helpful reference document for your customers.

Is there really not that much interest in this? Only one reply and no response from the team.

IMHO and with more than 20 years experience in software development, features and capabilities are very important but they are incomplete unless you document them properly. Having the release notes as the only guide for new features for changes from 2.0 to 2.4 is again IMHO now insuffient for proper documentation that is helpful to both current and new customers.

 i agree with you ,i kinda think the problem is in the updates and new features coming every 6 months or so ,, hard to keep up with ,,need a dedicated staff to implement this correctly ,not shure if even using advance users would be a solution ,,
i think its a problem also ,,just not clear on a workable solution , :frown:

I would def like to see a bit more info made available on the new functions of latest version. Even if its another Youtube tute or something like that. Maybe a written description file could be sent out with the update downloads.
As someone with intermediate digital knowledge it would be nice for some base instruction on the more intricate functions to save some time in figuring it out ... Mix on my friends
