In Preferences - Video enable Allow seperate A/V loading.
Whether loading a track with drag&drop you can drop at various positions. Depending on position you see a different box lighting for Audio, video or both.
Next to the video is a link button. You can link the video to the audio track so it loads with the audio track next times.
