Aye, it makes no difference whether that box is checked or not. I still can't post anywhere except this thread.
I have a new problem - I've just tried playing some music, plugged my laptop in, nothing has changed on my setup, everything is as it was last night, when it was working fine, but now I don't have any sound coming from channel 1. It's not my mixer as I checked that thinking it was the crossfade, tried different channels on the mixer etc. Just complete silence on that channel. Nothing looks different on the interface, apart from the gain compensation, which I would expect. What's going on?

OK, done what you suggested. I went as far as a fresh install, but it made no difference. I then noticed that channel 1 on the u-mix44 had no input signal, even though on screen display was normal. As I said before, I hadn't touched anything since last night when it was working perfectly. Could the U-Mix have just broken randomly? Not impressed if it has, I've only had it a week... Weirdly, on this install I don;t have the proper mixvibes icon either, just a generic windows application icon. Not sure what that's about.

Aye, all cables were unplugged when I checked to see if it was my mixer as I had to set it up for normal vinyl (is there a way I can play normal vinyl through the software, say one deck with tc and one normal? I tried but got a load of strange digital distortion). So yeah, had all connections apart and put back again, but problem still there. Tried different channels on the mixer as it's quite an old one, but also no difference.
I suppose if it has somehow broken I have no recourse as it was second hand, only used a couple of times but still not from a dealer.
Cheers for your help anyway, sorry I have to keep posting here but I can't get to the bottom of the forum access issue.

Er..the problem with the channel not working seems to have fixed itself. Turned it on tonight and it worked fine. Very odd, probably did it because I was showing my friend how it had broken... Hopefully it'll stay fixed.

I'm just trying to get Chrome to boot but for some reason it's not starting. I have no idea why, it worked the other day. All my cookie settings on firefox are normal (set to accept cookies) - anything else it could be?
