U46MK2 combined with U-Mix Control Pro. Make Sense?

Postby monoid on 15 Jul 2012, 17:51

Hi,
i am thinking about to buy a new MIDI controller. I am still using BCD 3000. What do you think about the combination Cross Pack with U46MK2 with U-Mix Control Pro? Will i need the U46MK2 in future? I am using Timecode Vinyls on Technics 1210.

Thank you for your answers.

 have you looked into the differences in the two sc,,not familiar with theu46mk2 and its funcionality,,,you can run tc with the U-Mix Control Pro sc and of course Cross,,other than a cleaner setup ,not as many wire to and from the computer,,the U-Mix is a good unit,i dont think you will have to use the u46 , if you are using the sc in the umixcontrol pro,,,maybe someone that has experience with both can give a better opion

You can use the U-Mix Control Pro soundcard to do this (no need for the U46) BUT CrossDJ don't have timecode support, so you would need to upgrade to Cross BUT you won't have the timecoded vinyl.

Need to compare the price of :
Cross Pack + U-Mix Control Pro
vs.
U-Mix Control Pro + upgrade to Cross + vinyls.

I thought you could use timecode vinyl with the U-Mix Control Pro? I'm sure Blackbrook posted a way to do this because I was asking.

Cheers, need to watch that video again.

I'm hijacking this thread a bit, but since I got the LDP8 I'm loving being able to touch my laptop less. Still waiting on the the new U-Mix Control Pro though...the pricing of that might decide it for me.

You can, but not with CrossDJ, only with Cross.
