due too a slight problem with the mouse control of the monitor volume, key board mapping can be used to control the volume to the headphones 1- duplicate a existing keyboard mapping, plus key on bottom of mapping 2- open and edit monitor volume ,i used the numeric pad/numeric lock #2/down and the #8/up . note put the lock on when mapping because the same keys control the scroll of the media base 3 i used the existing values but the auto repeat was turned on for each key in the postion for the direction you want the control to go meaning that on the #8 key the increase line the auto repeat was turned on and for #2 the decrease line the auto repeat was turned on, if this is not clear ,trial and error will help by duplicating a existing mapping ,you can open and edit and also have the existing file still there if things go amiss, plus you can delete the messed up duplicate file thanks SUPPORT for the info to help me get this sorted, any HELP in getting screen shots and futher clarifacationof this procedure would be appriciated
cant forget the quoata of cool smilies
