Hi guys,

apparently Cross DJ LE 2.6.0 does not work with Mac OS Catalina anymore. After >5 years I accept that. The software did a great job to me from Mac OS 10.6 to Mac OS 10.15.

But I do not want to threw my DJ controller away, that would not be sustainable to our environment. Hope you are in the same way.

So I would like to buy another software that would work with my DJ Controller Power Dynamics PDC-08B.

The issue I have here is that I do not knwo if the new version from Cross DJ in the Apple Appstore would work with it.
Apparently there is no reference to my DJ controller.
Or can I use something else?
Would it be possible for you to recommend me an alternative, please?

Seems Catalina contains some changes that many DJ software products struggle with. Especially EOL of iTunes causes trouble.

You could try the demo version of Cross. Might be it works for you. Though I would suspect you'll have to wait for Cross the become compatible (like other DJ software) with Catalina first.

And of course don't forget to report to Apple that they messed up your attempt to have a sustainable life... They really cause a lot of environmental pollution by causing users to purchase new things, have support servers run more with this type of requests...

I tried it with Cross DJ Free and with Cross DJ Lite. Both programs did not realize my PDC-08B controller. :-(

I will report that to Apple and hope others will do this as well,
but the main problem I see here is that Cross DJ has not been programmed to work under 64-Bit software (Mac OS Catalina).
The 32-Bit era from the 90ties ended now which is good, but many developers have now to re-design their software.

You have to try Cross Demo, not Free. As the free version does not support MIDI at all.

The current Cross versions (3+) are full 64 bit for over 5 years. Totally rewritten. Though still available as 32bit as some older hardware does not support 64 bit.

Yes, you are right this one works fine. The support could be a little bit improved (ie: Crossfader), but anything else works well.

Great you got it to work. Some hours ago the update with Catalina support has been released (4.1.2). If not available yet in Appstore you cn download from sonwloads section here, providing you first register your 4.x license in your user porofile.
