Lost MIDI mapping

Hope someone may be able to offer some advice.

I’m running Cross DJ 3.3.11 via Hercules Rmx & a HP laptop.

For some reason nothing was working so reinstalled drivers for the software & hardware & all was good.
I switched off & back on &, although it was still working, the assigned controls had gone awry.
For example the master volume is controlling the headphone volume, the headphone volume the master volume & the cue button start & stop, etc.
I checked the MIDI panel preferences & the correct controller is selected but none of the actions seem to be assigned.

Is there anywhere I can reinstall the mappings from or any other suggestions?

Cheers in advance team :)

In the mappings the actions are related to channel codes that are send to the MIDI device. This content can't just be changed like that as it is in plain text. The default Cross mappings even can't be accessed.

Most DJ controllers are Class Compliant. Meaning installation of the MIDI 'driver' is done from the firmware. Only for the audio part external drivers are required.

Did you maybe install new firmware to your controller? If so it likely has a different set of values for each control.
If not you could try connecting to a different USB port. Only after the controller is 'installed' start Cross.

If still not working try removing the MIDI device from the hardware settings (device manger)

If still no luck I think the only thing left would be to modify the mapping by creating a copy of the Cross mapping (x2 button) and set the right actions to the controls.
