Dear Mixvibes Community,

I need some input in terms of Mapping and why the crossfader for the AKAI AMX does not produce a smooth move, keeps bouncing left to right and does not move smoothly has anybody figured out how to make mixvibes interact smoothly with this MIDI fader, in Traktor and djay this is a direct fader and works great but jumps left to right in mixvibes Cross 4 Pro how do I map this correctly?

Any input will be appreciated!

Kind Regards,
ashp

Your fader is probably a 14 bit fader, which is more accurate than the normal 8 bit. In order to map it correctly you need to set up the parameters for the 14 bit MIDI table at the beginning of the Cross mapping file to set up the upper and lower limits of the addresses to be use. That information you should get from the controller's manufacturer and then modify the MIDI map accordingly.

Ticked the 14-bit check box and re-mapped all controls, please forgive my ignorance most of my MIDI controllers are regular MIDI and not high resolution

All sorted by ticking 14-bit box
