"Cnt" Play Count column increments immediately

Postby Hanginon on 31 Oct 2017, 14:15

The "Cnt" or "Play Count" column, and the "Last Play" column, increment as soon as a track is loaded in a player, even before it is played, regardless of the "Mark Track as Played after" setting in Preferences.

Cross DJ 3.4.3, on Windows 7, on two laptops, does the same thing.

The setting applies to when the track is written in the History. It avoids every track that has been listened to for seconds only to be written in the history.

Understand, but I like use the "Cnt" column to help prevent playing duplicates (since it is easy to reset the whole library before the gig). Sometimes I have to unload a song before playing it, throwing the Play Count off. After 4 hours of playing Latin music, it can become hard to remember what was played, especially if you are not fluent in Spanish. Having to refer to the History for this while performing, or manually editing "Cnt" when unloading a song, would be a PIA.

Is there any other way to easily do this?
