Cross DVS timecode not working

Postby cptfoggles on 25 Oct 2017, 20:48

Hello, everybody, I am looking for a solution to be able to use my timecode set up that I just bought.
I have a Mixvibes U-Mix 44 sound card and two DVS vinyl spinning on Synq Xtrem1 and connected to a DJM 700.
The software has no problem recognizing the U-Mix 44 and the vinyls, but it doesn't seem to function properly.
For instance, I still see the synq/cue/play button, and spinning the vinyls won't change anything, but If I press on play on my computer, the sound goes to the djm channels without any problem..
Did I miss something?
A shame that there is no user manual with this, I always see people having issues to set up their timecode (usually serato or traktor so I can't really ask any help..)
Kind regards.

What software are you using, which OS/version.
If you register you can download latest Cross version.

I just got it running, I wasn't paying attention to the DVS assign channel (1 and 2 ) buttons that you need to hover on on each channels.
Works great now!
But took me a bit some time to find it, and I figured a lot of people has the same issues, would be nice to make it more visible or to show how to configure a timecode. :)

Well I'm all good now, thanks. ^^

Hey! I'm trying to figure it out too. Try to switch the turntables ON on the screen closest to mixer section of the waveform for each deck. You want to enable the correct button for the each deck, the first is for a and the second for b.

These are the instrucyions I got, but unfortunately I can't get 2 turntables working at the same time - only one of them.

@An J
Could you try switching cables of tt that go into the mixer. This would be a step in excluding the tt to be a cause. (so tt 1 into current tt2 input and vice versa)

Hi Rojec, I just tried switching turntable RCAs in the mixer. Both turntables are working, but only 1 at a time.

When I try to calibrate my right input of the mixer it says that there is no signal or some pitch error.

I've just rechecked the threway harnesses that configurate the mixer - they seem to plugged just right...

There is another strange thing: the sound goes through both channels of the mixer- left and right.

And I've tried different routing modes:

Problem was solved after I downloaded an installed the drivers for my XONE23C mixer.

That explains a lot on why Cross couldn't function properly.

Please be aware that timecode is a stereo sinus with the left and right channel in shifted sinus position. So you will always need a left and right to use DVS
