Hi
I am running Cross 3.4.2 on windows vista laptop with a Hercules RMX controller and have a problem with the microphone set up
Is it possible to reconfigure the settings in preferences to enable the microphone to be directed to the master mix and a talk over function be applied .

I use this set up to record programmes for my Radio show and need the talk over function .

 :?: no sure how you have your mic set up ,Cross and Cross DJ doesnt have any setting for a mic ,,this has to be a rmx issue ,,
so a little bit more info as to your set up ,,and how mic is set up ..
in the U-Mix Control Pro 1,2 the mic feature is a hardware ,, in the controller,,doesnt route back thru the software ,,so no setting but what on the controller ,, not sure if it the same on the rmx controller ,,so info on your set up will clear things up

The ducking when using the mic is applied by the RMX to the Main out by suppressing the inputs.
Cross delivers inputs 1/2 and 3/4 into your RMX (so outputs of Cross).

If you want to record you could use Cross if you use the 'Aux in' function. For this you need to send a Main signal to your laptop. Depends on your mixer if you have a second main ( like 'solo') in parallel.

You could also use a different recording app at an other device to send the Main into (like Free audacity)

Setup for this:
Preferences > Audio > select input for Aux.
Preferences > Recording > Select Aux.

 the first step would be to log your computer ,desk top on the fourm ,,ie log in like you do when you log in on your lap top ,, then go to download section and download the software ,, easy/peasy
no for the fun ,, not shure what file has to be tranfered that holds your collection and data ,, but that need to be put in place ,, or you can start from scratch
some one will add the missing info as to what file ,,
