Have U-Mix Control Pro 2 win 10 saying card assigned Fault

Hi, I have windows 10 fresh install and Cross 3.40 64 Bit. I am trying to assign sound card in Audio settings and it claims sound card already assigned yet there is no program it is assigned to, therefore I cannot close all programs and reopen can you help?

check in the audio panel in your computers sc ,,set this as default ,,try this ,,also use the 32 bit version of the Cross software ,, ,,then try the 64 bit ,,U-Mix drivers are 32 bit so will not work in 64 bit with out useing asio 4 all ,,

Ok will do, I like idea of Cross 64 so will consider downloading asio 4 all and seeing if it helps. I am not accustomed to win 10 yet but seems it is more app orientated and is a little less straight forward the win 7 etc.

never had win 7 ,,went from vista to 8.1 to 10 ,, if you use the 32 bit version and get it sorted before you try asio4all ,, then you have a issue less set up to use with 64 bit and asio4all ,,
did you change the default sound card used to the computers sc ,, that allows Cross to have access to the U-Mix s c ,
also regerster the software licence key in the fourm ,,see grey header at top of posting page for instructions

I downloaded 64 so will need to get 32 again maybe. I got as system info states x64 based PC.

the download has both 64 bit version ,,labeled so ,,and the 32 bit version also ,, how did you download this software

i am talking about the Cross software not your os upgrade ,

Your quite right I found it in programs list. I have opened 32 it does not state sound card already assigned yet when selected still no audio. However if generic soundcard used program works you can see sound at main level in program yet when only U-Mix Control Pro 2 is used it is silent and no levels at Main outputs. That is with generic sound card disabled.

:neutral: o kay ,,in operating system audio panel ,,the computer sc is selected ,,when you plug in and turn on the controller ,,dose a U-Mix sc show in this audio panel
the U-Mix sc should not be set as default .
in the mixvibes software audio tab in preferences ,, how is the U-Mix sc identifed as ,,should be asio U-Mix,.
might be easier to show screen shots ,

check the gain knobs on the controller and also the cue mix knobs on the controller ,

do not disable the on board sc of the computer ,,use/set it as default ,, that way when Cross wants to use the U-Mix sc it can.

Well configured output 2 as in pictures and sound came through loud and clear so that is good news.
