Seemingly random generated Cue Points

Postby Victorio on 22 Mar 2017, 17:48

Hello,

everytime a track gets analyzed, it generates a cue point a few seconds into the track. I can't figure out how to deactivate or adjust that feature, since i need straightforward playback from the beginning of a track for my music (Tango/Salsa), and use mostly Autoplay.

Any tips how to deactivate the cue point generation, so the tracks get played from the very beginning, and not a few seconds in?

Thx for your help in advance!

You cannot disable this. It's part of the Cross method of mixing music.

The algorithm determines the first downbeat. This can be at 0.0secs but doesn't have to be. It's the result of setting the total beatgrid.

The workaround is to allow editing the grid )(advanced settings option).

Then you get a wave button in the mix screen. With this you can move the wave and set you wanted cue point by pressing the Cue button (while track paused). The new Cue point is saved with the track for future use.

An easy way to do this is add use the autoplay feature. Select a bunch of tracks in a playlist and set for each track (set autoplay fade to 0 for fastest result). Likely over 100 tracks per half hour can be done this way.

That's the difference between an audio player and a DJ mixing tool... (or rather one of the differences)
