WMA 10 Pro problem

Postby Sense of noize on 18 Dec 2016, 17:59

Recently analyzed .wma files on my PC (WIN7, internal SC), coded with dbpoweramp... and realized strange thing. All files that coded with WMA 10 Pro are playing too fast, with clicks and pops. Tried all options of codec - result is the same.

Only solution is to use WMA 9.2

PS/ not answering why :D Just for those, who have same problem
Cross version 3.4

Can be several things, but one thing is to make sure your PC/laptop is not doing other things as well as to make sure your hdd isn't being shaken (like laptop at your lap)
Unless the coding is CD to hdd, then the CD drive may have read errors.

Soundcard not available/working? Try the 32bit version of Cross (is also installed).

No, it's not hardware problem! Special thing I did - coded simple mp3 to WMA 10 PRO (no matter what track - there were 3 different tracks coded). And did a parallel match of mp3 and WMA version of track. Their beatgrid are not matching, and tempo too.
No tasks with soundcard, no connection to e-net, coding from simple mp3 files, that are readable without any problems.
Coding from mp3 - only to show the problem with WMA codec. Wav and Flac gives the same result.

PS. if it's so needed, parameters of codec
WMA10PRO CBR 256kbps, 44 kHZ, 16bit 2 channel with 2 pass encoding. Also tried other params with same missbehavior.

PPS. Please be sure, I'm not stupid, and checked all that I said before more than one time.
