Xone 23 C + Cross LE + Channel

Hello,

I've just bought the Xone 23c, with which i received a Cross LE program.

I've set up the mixer to connect with usb to the computer.
RCA speakers are connected to the mixer.
One turntable is plugged to Input 1 of Mixer.

I'd like to scratch from the mixer : beats from Cross LE to the right side of crossfader, and turntable to the left side.

My problem is that no matter the crossfader position i still hear the Cross LE sound, and if i turn Total Kill knobs, i also kill turntable sound.


Can anyone please explain how to set-up Cross LE to play on only one side of crossfader ?

Start Cross

Go to Preferences/Audio

Routing Mode (External Mixer Cue)

go out of Preferences

get with the Mouse Cursor on Player

many symbols appear , click on the left player the Button 1 than you should use it

Look at your quickstart Guide from Allen/Heath there are all informations

Thank you, i hadn't received the quick start guide. I followed the instructions, but the sound from usb still comes out of both channels.
Do i have to buy DVS with timecode to make this work ?

no , the allen&heath 23c is a DVS system

you need the vinyls from Mixvibes to use Cross

if i use analog rca from computer to mixer, i can have the sound on just one side of the crossfader.

With the usb it always comes out of both side.

I thought i could use the computer with usb plugged to mixer as i would a turntable on one side of the crossfader.

It seems i need to upgrade to DVS to make the sound from Cross LE come out from only one side of the mixer.

x zone 23c is a DVS set up ,,something wrong with your set up ,, not familiar with this set up so can give limited help ,, soo screen shots of set up ,,audio config ,,gui ,,especial around the volume/gain controls at top of gui ,,
also there was a update for that bundel ,are you running the latest version ,,
have you read through the start up manual as to proper set up ,,
need some more info to be able to see whats going on ,

I didn't think i already had the DVS version of Cross.
I only have one turntable plugged in 23 c.

(i'd like for B to play, while scratching on turntable, so what plays on B can't come out from the turntable side of the crossfader).

Maybe i need to use a mixvibe timecode vinyl for Cross to recognize and seperate the sound channels on the 23 c.

You do need Cross tc vinyl.
Also check your ah manual to allow use of tc.

Hello, this is an update on my situation.

Just received a mixvibes TC vinyl.
It works fine, but A and B channels don't.

1/ A and B don't work simultanously, except by selecting stereo or mono in audio preferences. But the crossfader doesn't work as it should so there is no point in this set-up.

2/ I'd like to use A as TC vinyl (turntable connected to input 1 of mixer) , and B as music from files.
When the xone crossfader is completely pushed from A into B, there should be no A sound. (Vice-versa for B).

I've already modified the mixer and audio preferences according to the manual.


Any indications would be welcomed,

it can be as simple as posting a screen shot of your gui and your audio settings ,, not familiar with the gui set up for the xzone,,or DVS ,, look at gui for a knob labeled mix ,, allows for having the pfl/cue/monitor ,,or the master out to be monitored ,, if its there it should be in fully counter clock wise ,, dont think this is the problem ,, but just a shot in the dark
