Rekordbox sync beatgrid offset

Postby Christilut on 29 Dec 2014, 16:25

Hi,

After beatgridding all my tracks in Cross (3.3.9) and exporting them to Rekordbox using the sync function, all beatgrids and cue's are off by the a little bit. Every cue point now falls slightly before the downbeat. This is only the case in Rekordbox. The beatgrid is correct in Cross.

Does anyone have any experience with this?

Might be good to add the RB version you use to the info.

Has anyone from the MixVibes team looked into this?

Here are two images comparing the same track (exported with rekordbox sync): http://imgur.com/a/ViL95

The top image is MixVibes, bottom Rekordbox. Cue point 4 in the top image is the same cue point as the red one in the bottom image.

This happens for almost all my tracks.

If you need more info, like tracks where this happens, let me know! I really would like to see this fixed, it's kind of hard to mix with these on a CDJ...

Note that since the start of this thread I've upgraded to Rekordbox 3.2.1 and currently using Cross DJ 3.3.10 (64bits). Issue still occurs.

Some questions does it happens on all or specific tracks?
Since which Cross version?

I've just checked about 30 tracks in rekordbox. 28 of them have an offset (almost all have the marker too early, a few too late... the amount varies wildly). 2 of them were correct.

20 of the checked tracks were done with mixvibes 3.3.10 (64bit) & rekordbox 3.2.1 and the rest with 3.3.9 (64bit) & rekordbox 3.1.0.
I started using Cross with 3.3.9 so I don't know if it happens with earlierer versions.

If it helps, I can send a bunch of files from mixvibes and rekordbox with a tracklist of affected tracks (and the tracks themselves).
