Help please. Who do I contact with my problem with software?
All my gear was stolen an I replaced everything brand new. New U-Mix Control Pro mixer and new Asus laptop. Win 8.1 64bit, 2.4 Ghz intel core i7 super fast PC. Cross3.1 is not running smoothly at all. I can hardly use effects and can't by with scratch pads else music skips. I have to restart several times before it runs. CPU only running at 5%. WiFi off or on.. Same problem. I can't play at gigs anymore.. Epic fail every time. Very embarrassing...
I've used mixvibes since the first DVS release and swear by it for its stability... Not so much anymore????
Please help

I'll copy my reply here, so it's a dedicated topic.
Hi. Sorry to here your property was stolen.
Let's try to get you back asap.
Not sure what it is.
As we're at 3.3.3 now, just let's make a fresh start.
Uninstall current version.
manual delete file
c:\users\[username]\appdata\roaming\mixvibes\mixvibes.settings.

Then install new version.
If you have a backup collection that you'll open for the first time it might be that some time is needed. Somewhat depending on state of audio. Cross will check presence of files and analyses files. Your antivirus might want to do first inspections on each file... Just guessing as to what could cause starter trouble. Other could be MS still running upgrades, asus needing (manual) upgrades, etc...

So please give it some time on initial opening, esp. on lagrger collection.

Not trying to take focus of Cross, just hope you can give some info as to what you've achieved in thepreceding period..
I'm running my Cross at a 5yr old dual core, so your should be 10/100 times smoother (though I don't have trouble...)

BTW does the 32bit start? If so you might be lacking 64 bit drivers. As Cross-64 is full 64 it will not run with 32 bit drivers (which would take down 64 bit performance).

Hi RoJeC,
Thanks for the reply.
Ive un-installed and re-installed everything, even updated the U-Mix Control Pro 2 firmware, but the problem persists.
Im having the problem with 32 bit version only. the 64 bit version does not start at all. Just a splash screen.

Im on Cross 3.3.6 now and still have the same problems.

You mentioned 64 bit drivers.. There is only one file in the downloads center. Version 1.0.5? and it does not say if its 32 or 64 bit. Am I missing something here? :?:

Does the speed between USB 2 and 3 ports matter at all?

I have about 10 000 individual trax in my collection. most added to their playlists separated in generes. Does this quantity to playlists and trax matter??

I always switch off my virus program (Windows defender real time protection) and my wifi is Off when I start up.

My buffersize is set to max. I useed to run at 256? now on 2048.
When I do finally get it to work (Play trax smoothly) it still seems like there are memory issues. Using effects and loops sometimes causes the interruptions. When I use the search function (Shift + Jockwheel) the track that's currently playing is interupted.. so I cant scan tracks using the jockwheels.

Anything else I could try?
Could we chat live?

 i wanna suggest starting at square one ,, does the software run with the controller not pluged in ,,ie useing the mouse /keypad for control ,,
have had issues from the onset with the 64 bit versions , but havent had any issues with the 32 bit versions , use original drivers for the controller ,,
trying to determine where the problem lies ,, weather it a controller issue or not ,, then determine if its a latency issue with your settings ,,
also what mapping are you useing for the controller , might be the cause of the jog scroll issue
sorry about your issues ,, but help will come ,, any screen shots and futher info on what you have tried and the outcome will help in figuring it out ,,
my system spec are listed and havent seen your issues while running Cross

Thanks for the advise. I will post more info on my
PC's specs including some screenshots shortly.

The 64 bit version does not start up at all, even with no controler plugged in.

If 64bit doesn't start this should mean you're using a 32bit driver. Eg. Soundcard.
Your latency suggests you're using a wdm driver instead of asio.

You could install the asio4all driver. This could also function as a kind of bridge for 32bit to 64bit for the soundcard.

I am using a U-Mix Control Pro 2 Mixer from mixvibes. This has the ASIO sound-card installed inside the mixer. I'm not using any other external sound-card and have no need for additional ASIO driver.

There is only one Driver for this U-Mix Control Pro 2 in the Downloads section and it makes no reference to 32 or 64 bit.

Here are some screenshots...

Using the asio4all driver for the U-Mix is the way to go for having 64bit. Can be downloaded from asio4all.com.
In audio tab of preferences you can select it to use the U-Mix.

Also the new 3.3.8 should be more userfriendly in startup with wrong configs.
