Pioneer CDJ 2000 HID Question

I still havent tried my new Cross in HID, as Im still trying to scan all my music and preparing all of the stuff.

anyhow, my question. So Ive watched a few videos online about the HID etc, but Iv got a couple of strange questions.

Firstly - in rekordbox you can make cue points as well as hotcues. the two functions differently - cue points are cue points and hotcues are hotcues. IT seems to me that Cross only have hot cues and no cue points as in rekordbox. is that correct? If not, how do I set hotcues?

Then, about the HID. Ive never used sync before. I play at a few clubs in one week, and hold a 7 day a week residency at one club We have cdj 2000s (no nexus) at that club. The other clubs have cdj 900 and 2000 nexus. I got it that each button on each player is already mapped to their respective functions, but can you use the sync feature on the other cdjs (non nexus) as they dont have sync button? I assume you can still use it using keyboard, but is there a mapping for it on 850 900 and 2000s?

No the mapping is off line. It's exactly the CDJ functions

CDJs 350, 400, 850, 900, 2000, 2000NXS are compatible with Cross but mappings aren't editable, they follow CDJ's native behavior.

Once you correctly configured it and while you don't need extra features that doesn't exist or the CDJ, yes.

@sylMV

So last night I tried to connect the cdj to my laptop. I connected one and tried to add a track. The other cdj was still playing off my usb drive so i didnt touch it.

I was kind of under pressure so couldnt spend too much time with it. Everything worked as I was scrolling down the track list. and I could see the track names on my cdjs just as when im using rekordbox.

I selected a track and it loaded. Strange thing was, the track didnt load properly and when I hit play it moved slowly and obviously something wrong. Its hard for me to explain. I cut it right there and then and moved back to usb closing my laptop.

Is there something else I need to do before I can connect the cdj?

Sorry if non of this make sense.... long night and even longer day. Sleep deprivation

my questions are silly but im new to digital djing so please just bare with me.

so i connected Cross with the cdjs at the club. I did it all the way the video suggest, but its till not working properly. The problem i have is, that all the sound comes through the one channel of the cdj I connected first. I even went to the audio setup and noticed there were tick boxes in the sound card part which i needed to change but all the same. It kept going through the one cdj channel.

also How do I hide the mixer in the software?
