Control Pro and Cross DJ

Firstly, apologies if this is in the wrong place but I can't find the answer to my problem.......being a bit of a noob doesn't help when it comes to tech speak either. I've got Win 7, a U-Mix Control Pro and currently running Cross DJ 2.6. On screen I can see 4 locator point, I know I have the ability to set 6 with the Pro but it will only allow me to set and delete 3.....trying to set 4, 5 and 6 does nothing. I have downloaded and updated to the latest firmware as well ...."U-MIX_PRO_v4.3" .
So.....is the Pro compatible with Cross DJ 2.6.0? If it isn't, is there an easy way to find out which version of Cross DJ was the last to only have 6 locator points as I know this used to work. I can't remember what version it was as it was a while ago.......anything more than a month and I'm screwed................currently downloading all previous versions and systematically trying each one until it works, get bored or get an answer. Thanks in advance :)

 first thing first welcome to mixvibes ,, ,,U-Mix Control Pro ,, has 3 locators /samples buttons ,to get the buttons to work for 6 locators you will require a mapping made for it ,, before you go down loading every version ,, check the MIDI mappings for U-Mix,,there weere some made to use the 3 buttons for 6 locators ,, used them when i had control pro ,, had to get them altered for use with control pro 2 ,, check the MIDI tab in preferences for the different mapping installed by the software

Thanks for the quick response. I could only find 4 users ones and no official ones from the download section. The users one I tried screwed up all the button settings.....description said something about timecode. Anyway, the link for how to install MIDI settings is broken so I don't know if I'm doing something wrong there. My Pro has a little grey padlock next to it........is that relevant? Now dredging google for rogue MIDI mappings which mention 3 buttons and 6 locations.

 go to the MIDI tab in preferences and see which mapping is checked ,, scroll through thru whats avaible to use ,, not near my computer now to look ,,, there should be a mapping that fits your needs ,,

Nope, sorry. Still not getting this. If I use Cross DJ (anything older than 2.0) and select U-Mix Control Pro as my MIDI controller..........all works fine. 2.0 and higher, I no longer have 6 locators that I can activate and delete. I tried selecting different MIDI controllers from the preferences/MIDI tab but that just led to varying degrees of wrongness so I figured I would duplicate the MIDI mapping from 1.7 and use it in 2.6. I stumbled across this in the forums but the links don't work. Is there no kind of visual map that tells you what the button codes are? I tried re mapping but couldn't work out how to get "N18 CH4" to come up........

Channel 1 = All functions on the left (Deck A side)
Channel 4= All shifted functions on the left (Deck A side)

Channel 2 = All functions on the left (Deck B side)
Channel 5= All shifted functions on the left (Deck B side)

Channel 3 = All functions on the center (Mixer section)
Channel 6= All shifted functions on the center (Mixer section)

To map a shifted button
Press and hold the button while also pressing and holding the shift button.

Then use your other hand to click ok on the map GUI if that is the way you are mapping.

Hope this helped.
