Everything is already pre-mapped to work with the DDJ-SX.
You just have to make sure that you download and update your device to the latest firmware and the latest drivers. You also need to ensure that your controller is set-up to work with software other than Serato by following the instructions on the DDJ-SX manual on pages 24,25, and 26 in conjunction with the mapping documentation from Mixvibes.

yes , i forgot all the lights work including the ones n the jog wheels.

If its just for home use the DDJSX is cool, I had one the mapping is okay everything lights up as it should, but it is a monster I have got rid of mine, just waiting on the DDJSR which has the extra pad layers which should be good MIDI assign wise. It will be so much more portable, so if you can do with the in depended anolog style mixer for adding in cdjs etc., then this is your baby, I would not overly worry about the the 2 mixers channels as Cross has a MIDI pick up so it will take over on say deck 3 where deck 1 left off,So my money is on this

I think it would be nice to see Cross get its sample pad roll set up on the pads now the DJ-SR has the extra layers, If you any one is looking in on this post from mixvibes, pressing pad shrinks the roll, and shift +Pressing = Expand :)

Regarding the skins, I wanted the white to go with my Sony laptop, so when the SR comes out in pearl white I will just cut my losses and sell the other for £100 cheaper and then upgrade myself to the pearl white, I thought about the skins, but for not much more I can do what I just suggested, but saying that I am happy with ending up with they pearl white :)
