sometimes it works sometimes it dont man i miss my rme rpm
is there anything i can do i do not have windows 7 anymore

i have a i5 3570k with 8 gb of ram and 3tb hard drive of space total

What do you mean by it works (or not) :
- OS detection ?
- software recognition ?
- audio stream issues ?

I'm pretty sure this has something to do with coming back from the hibernate or sleep mode.

sleep mode ok i will turn it off and see.
it wont read my u46mk2

I'm pretty sure, if you turn off/turn on, you don't have the issue. it is not W8 or Cross related, it is a device not seen anymore into the OS when waking up.
