Well, I fear j-kut is right, it seems as if your U-Mix Control Pro is broken :-( If anyone has got another thing to try, feel free to do so

just a thought that the master control( above the center shift button); on the U-Mix is up,,,,,
if you have level indication on the gui ,center pre fade indicators and have level indication on the top level meter ,,then ,,,check the software using another sc ,,possibly the computer on board sc,, hate to say its the control pro unit with out trying every possible senerio

Can you cue/monitor with the headphones ? (to know if the sound is going outside of the software).
Check the volumes into the virtual mixer of Cross (3 knobs at the top).

Do you want you the laptop´s internal speakers, or are those seperate ones?

you can´t use the internal ones if you´re using the U-Mix Control Pro as a sound-device.
