LED not working on U-Mix Control Pro

Postby khancross on 08 Aug 2012, 11:33

Hi Guys,

as my netbook is bit slow, I cannot use CrossDJ which comes with the mixer U-Mix Control Pro. But my netbook runs good with Traktor 3 DJ Studio and therefore I set the mixer up to work properly with Traktor 3 DJ Studio.

But the LED's are not working, even when selected as MIDI input and output this USB device.

Any advice on this?

Thanks

KC

Hi.
Be something to do with the mapping of the leds in Traktor software.
Since this is Mixvibes hardware, dont know what advice can be given to map the light controls from Traktor Software
My guess is there would be a way to do it, im sure, but a further understanding of MIDI mapping might have to be known to accomplish it. ;)
Cheers

All settings in Traktor for MIDI Mapping are set to on. I had a Behringer BCD3000 before and there was the same issue but after enabling the option for MIDI in and out, then the LED's on the BCD worked. Did the same with U-Mix but still not working LED's.

But this old Traktor version runns good on my netbook together with the U-Mix, also created my own TKS file, alright sofar! But have to get the LED's working.

Please advice!

My Netbook is a LG X130

Atom 1,6GHZ
1GB RAM
160GB HDD
Windows XP SP3 Home
CrossDJ 2.0.1

CrossDJ works but interrupt in audio playback. Also analyzing the tracks take incredible long (2-3 minutes) and as you know in this software before analyzing SYNC is not working.

Traktor DJ Studio 3 has no problem playing and analyzing on this netbook.

Thanks for your advices.

I sorted it out, just for people with same problems I will give the solution which belongs to Traktor DJ Studio.

1. As MIDI out device this USB Sound device should be selected (U-Mix)
2. MIDI Setup: For each assigned button there has to be the same button assigned again but as Control Type 'Output'. For example Low Kill assigned on the lowkill button, dublicate this MIDI command but change as control type 'Output'.

For CROSSDJ try this:
Install 1.7.1 (the older version of Cross DJ).
Try to turn off every unnecessary applications, even networks and anty virus softwares.
In Cross DJ, Preference/ Audio - select U-Mix Control Pro as soundcard, and move the slider to 512. My old shitty laptop works with this buffer size, it should work for you.

had 1.7 before and was not working too. think you have both decks playing and give effects on both. the cpu usage will rise up like

anyway traktor DJ studio 3 works good now, I can play as I want...
