It definitely did. I now get some slight GUI freezes when loading tracks with a Core i5 M460 @ 2.53GHz with 4GB. With older version it works flawlessly!

Very, very slight GUI freeze on my system:
2.5 GHz Intel Core i5-2450M 6 GB DDR3 ram
Absolutely no problem with sound, but a slight halt on graphics (a fraction of a second, but noticeable).

I'm still using my 4 year old Acer 5920G - Intel Core 2 Duo T7300 2.0GHz, 4 Gig of Ram with no issues with Cross 2.01 But as I don't really use effects or samples I'm not really pushing my CPU usage. Just load and mix

I've just tried mine with EVERYTHING turned off that wasn't needed. Perfect results! Nog lag or glitches at all this time! *Kev breathes a sigh of relief!* I will try Cross 2.0.1 on my old laptop which is over four years old to see what results I get. (I'm intending to use that as backup if ever I need it) @Daniel - have you tried all the usual stuff? ie. turn off unwanted startup programs, disable any programs running in the background?

Good to hear that you enjoy what you do Daniel, even if it's just a pastime. You still need the program to perform correctly, otherwise it's not so much fun! In your case, I'd increase the RAM if your motherboard is capable - that always makes a big difference to performance.

My old shitty stuff works quite well. GUI seems less freezing since 1.7. The only hard time I have with it, is when I run many samples and FX at once.
But not many problems... FX hangling is also better somehow, and I can push my system a bit further.
