I have a set of technics and wanted to to connect them to the U-Mix Control Pro to record a mix in Cross DJ. I've connected the phono cables up to the inputs on the control-pro (and flicked the switches at the back to phono) and connected the ground wires too, went into audio preferences on Cross DJ and selected both the inputs as phono. Then finally went onto the main screen of Cross DJ and changed the player tab to line in. This works fine when one tab is on line in and the other on player, but when you select both to line in (ie sound coming in from both decks) the input volume increases loads as does the bass, effectively killing any chance of recording a mix. Suggestions?

thats strange,,, have you swapped the two turn tables to see if the problem changes sides,,,possibilitie that the second tt added is at fault,, try checking the tt that was added second on the side that was connected first to check that it plays as the other one did, to eliminate that t t as the problem.,have to peek at the manual to see if something jumps out as a problem are both the cartidges and needels the same and also there condition almost sounds like a issue with the signal recieved from the tt

wait its ok i think i fixed it, changed the Cross DJ input in preferences>audio on Cross DJ to line as opposed to phono and it works! Which is bizarre as they are phono not line inputs...
