LEVEL LED (LEVEL)
These messages are used for LEVEL.
Control Change messages are sent with status 0x9n, LED Off value is 0x00 and On value is related
to LED amount, 0x01 with one LED, 0x02 with two LED…., where n is the channel.

The same parameter with value from 0 to 10 (number of leds).
It can't work with Cross as we send a % of the full range from 0 to 127.

i read that, and that´s what i didnt understand.

5 leds but 127 states sent from Cross and no "dim" on the leds only on/off.

Cross send vu meter position [0 100%] to MIDI values [0 127].

From what i understand on this controller, 1 led will be lit if vu-meter MIDI value is 1.
This means in Cross vumeter position is ~ 1/127 = 0.008, i.e. very close to zero ....
2 ~ 2/127 = 0.016 = 1.6%
3 ~ 3/127 = 0.024 = 2.4%
...
10 ~ 10/127 = 0.079 = 7.9%
(i guess MIDI values > 10 light all leds)

Then have less than 10 leds on, you need to have vumeter values < 7.9%.

But in any case, it won't work in Cross as is.

I think i can change some MIDI values on that device (need to check the manual for that) - would that help in any way? Anyway guys, thanks for looking that hard into this - i really appreciate it!

And i must say this unit is very well.
I was using a DJM500 + Technics 1210 nearly the whole time of my (DJ)life (since 1993) and i ever said "Reloop? Word censored (guess you find it I love walking on it)!". And hey, it was like that.

But really, this device is doing very well and has powerful, clear sound. So might be the first midi-controller i stay with (and i tried a lot). Too bad the U-Control does not have PFL-LEDs...yes, i know, there are some into the software. But i`m old and kinda oldskool that way
