video delayed problem when scratch on Vfx.

Postby vjbadboy on 02 May 2012, 21:05

hi mixvibes community!

i saw mixmove winner, he is scratching videos so sharp like the audio. (i dont know his software nor hardware)

i have tried all the settings but maybe there is something i missed?
is there a way for Vfx to scratch videos for no delay? sometimes the video stock(stop or pose) during fast scratch.

also, is the crossfader curve only for audio?

just want to know maybe theres another setting i missed specially on video scratch delay,

thanks! cheers!

It will hardly depend of the file format you're using and of the key frames into your file.
More key frames = less gap between moves.

ah ok..

so what file do u prefer for me to use on scratch? i have diff. kinds of video files but i often use the AVI files,

do the full HD 1080p video is better for video scratch?

almost all my avi files has 1024x576 resolution so its lower than a 720p resolution, did the resolution has something to do with the video delay?

and im sorry i dont understand the key frames & also how it works. i will search for it for me to really understand.

thanks a lot for the support!
cheers!

It is all done at the encoding stage. You can see it when you try to seek into a video files. The more key frames, the finest skip.
