If you select/highlight severals tracks, then you open the info pane (right side) : you can batch edit any field for all of the selected trakcs.

So in the same way you can delete tags that you don't want.

What you could do is :
- sort tracks into the collection by 'location' column.
- select tracks from a specific folder/subfolders and add your genre/comment as wished in batch mode.
In the end all your genre/comment will be folder or subfolder specific.
Then some smartlists could show your refined work.

Sorry for being mythersome, but if you dont ask you dont learn,
One last question, will a smartlist have to pick up on the whole comment or can it just pick up on single words, if single words do i need to use a grammer cymbol like with a search engine, to break the whole comment down for the smartlist search.

Thanks,

Its all okay, i have found a free tag editor
http://www.xdlab.ru/en/download.htm

Good stuff, Iam Just going to change genra to suit which is really quick as a batch and then i can add my Sub genra info as the group, and additional info like uptempo etc to comment and that should be all i need and easy to do if i pre arrange all my subfolders and catagorie info before hand,
Presuming i will be good to go then in sorting out via Cross DJ.

Cheers.
