U-Mix Control Pro Program

When I first got Cross & U-Mix Control oro I had many problems trying to get it set up so that my PC could 'see' the MIDI controller.

Sometimes this took up to 60 minutes to do.

After I downloaded the newest verson of the U-Mix Control Pro program (the one that displays as the volume control in the task bar) this became better but it isn't really fixed.

I understand that it should work like this:

1. Switch on PC.
2. Power on buttton on back of MIDI o USB
3. Plug in U-Mix Control Pro USB.
4. Open Cross program.
5. Ready to start!

However this doesn't always work. I can plug in the MIDI controller & when I check the U-Mix Control Pro program it is greyed out & says 'Device Unplugged' even though it is plugged in & powered up.

What part of the Windows setup needs to be addressed?

Do you have any information anywhere on how this can be fixed?

Try the following:

- Switch on computer
- Start Cross
- Switch on the U-Mix Control Pro

Works for me everytime. If it does not for you I fear UncleVibes is right: seems to be a computer related problem. Where? Well, seems that there is trouble a the USB port/controller/whatever.

A small detail that won't change your life, no need to switch on the controller before plugging it to the computer.
Do it the other way, that's more logical: plug then switch.
