  Are you trying to use turn tables,cd decks for control purpose :?: :?: the software version you have is Cross DJ , :?: if so you will not be able to do this, software is MIDI controlled only.. if you want to run a tt or cd straight thru this is possible,, might want to confirm this in teck manual, by switching to line input ,,,any more info will help in pinpointing the solution to your issue

Cross DJ is, as daniel already said, just for MIDI. If you want to use timecodes (CD or vinyl) you need Cross (= full version). You can upgrade, have a look at the mixvibes page!

Guys, you are not completly right

On the mixer section of the program, you'll see a coloured square saying "player". If you click on it, it will say "line".

This means, that if a plyer is set to line, what goes in on the designated INPUT of your soundcard (Preferences/Audio and search for input ), it will be played through the player, scanned in continuaously, and can be manipulated with the in built mixer of Cross DJ, or you can use most of the FX on it.

ALSO you can RECORD the player that is switched to line mode, so you can record the sound while going into your soundcard input and playing through the player.

SO YES, YOU CAN RECORD CD or Turntable :D

Read the Manual, for detailed information, everything is there :)
